"Oh, fucking hell." She was late, again. How was it, she could sleep through an alarm that made her neighbors pound on the wall? She figured it had to be a gift, but was hardly thinking about that as she rolled out of bed, tangling in the sheets as she struggled to find something clean to wear to class.
Dressing while trying to get her half-finished homework together, Kitty bounced on one foot attempting to put a sock on the other as she held her papers in her mouth. It was such a routine, that she could actually do it, now.
Shoving books and spare pencils into her bag, she slung it over her shoulder, shoved her feet into shoes, and darted toward the door. Her power being what it was, she hardly ever bothered opening the doors, and today was no exception - save for the fact she collided with the door.
Stunned, glad she hadn't broken her nose, but betting she had a lump on her forehead, Kitty gazed up at the door from where she'd landed. Okay. That was weird.
She made an effort to phase through the floor, but that didn't happen, either. She was broken! Standing up, rubbing her forehead, she opened the door, and gazed at it from the outside. It didn't look like anything was different about it.
Confused, and a little frightened, she made her way down the hall toward her class. Maybe it wasn't just her. Because, seriously, what the hell?
She opened the door of the classroom, and sat down in her seat. No one else looked upset, or different. In fact, Jubilee was constructing a miniature fireworks display between her fingers at that very moment.
Deciding she had to go to the Professor right then, she stood back up, and walked out of the classroom. This was weird. This was way weird.
